Police carry out two drugs raids in the Clifton area of York

Officers turned up unannounced at the properties on Saturday morning

Police in York carried out two drugs raids at properties in the Clifton area on Saturday morning.

A row of police vehicles lined a street in the suburb as the officers executed warrants.

The force's Dog Section and Operational Support Unit were among the teams involved in the large operation.

In a post on the @NPTYorkNorth Twitter account, officers said:

"The investigations are ongoing and our activity is based on community intel".
