Cyclist hospitalised after attack in middle of Selby street

A man has been left in hospital after he was dragged off his bike and attacked in Selby town centre.

The unnamed man, who's in his 40s, was stopped at traffic lights on Gowthorpe between 6.30pm- 7.30pm on Saturday 10 June when he was approached by a man and a woman.

Police said he was dragged into an alleyway, they rifled through his pockets and he was assaulted.

North Yorkshire Police are now asking for witnesses to come forward, and are ooking for a man in his 30s, described as "small" and "thin".

Officers also want to see any footage from CCTV, doorbell cameras and dashcams.
