Broadcast Exclusive: Domestic abuse survivor from Yorkshire urges others to 'speak out'
Kelly Walker left her abusive partner from Selby this summer & he's now in jail

A domestic abuse survivor from Yorkshire is calling on others who are suffering at the hands of their partner 'not to hide the truth from others'.
Kelly Walker is speaking out - after her abuser was sentenced recently to nearly three years behind bars & given a 10-year restraining order to stop him from contacting her.
For sixteen years, Kelly Walker was in a relationship with a man who controlled her every move:
"He'd cut the plugs off my hair straighteners, break my bra's, hide my underwear and hide my shoes."
Until one night this summer things reached boiling point - & Kelly had to leave the family home with her children - after Adrian Noblet threatened to kill her.
She recorded the incident on her phone - & Noblet - from Selby in North Yorkshire - who's also the dad to five of Kelly's six kids - had no option but to plead guilty.
He was jailed for almost three years in August - & Kelly tells us in a Broadcast Exclusive that leaving him saved her life:
"I'm in that time of my life now where I'm ready to talk about it, I'm ready to empower other men and women, and hopefully I can help save a few lives, because that night - he would have killed me.
"I reached out to a close friend who convinced me to get out of the situation I was in.
"Otherwise, I don't think I'd be here, as I probably didn't take it as serious as I should've done.
"I just want more people not to hide away when this is happening to them.
"This kind of behaviour is not okay; we don't have to tolerate it and we can have a better life.
"I'm starting to live that better life now - every day is more and more beautiful.
"It took a long time to understand just what abuse I had been through.
"It's not like in any way he was a bad dad to any of our children, so that's what makes it even more difficult, but he was bad to me."
