Fire at TV transmitter on North York Moors at Bilsdale

Six fire engines are currently tackling a fire at a TV transmitter on the North York Moors.

North Yorkshire Fire and Rescue Service are at the Bilsdale transmitting centre, north of Helsmley.

Crews say the cause of the fire will be investigated in due course.

The service is asking that members of the public do not go near to the site, particularly as this area has limited access and they need to be able to move vehicles and people around to help fight the fire.
