Police appeal over assault reported in Scarborough

North Yorkshire Police are asking the public for help to investigate a reported assault in Scarborough.

The incident, on Friday 15th October, is thought to have involved two men being assaulted by a man and a woman.

It happened at 11.50pm, on Harcourt Place, near Bar2B.

A man was arrested but has since been released.

In a statement, North Yorkshire Police added: 'We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

'In particular, we are appealing for information about a woman who was involved in the incident. The woman is described as having long blonde hair, and was wearing a white and brown/black furry jacket, black jeans, white trainers, carrying a small shoulder black handbag.

'A 19 year old man has been arrested in connection with the offence. He has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
