Police search for victim in suspected assault in York
It happened in the early hours of Sunday morning
Police in York are looking for a victim in a suspected assault, which was reported in the city centre in the early hours of Sunday morning.
The incident happened on Duncombe Place around 2.15am on 27 June.
The victim was described as a 6 foot tall man with a slim build, who was wearing a grey hooded jacket.
It's believed he suffered injuries to his face, but he left the scene before police officers arrived.
Officers say a 16-year-old local boy was arrested in connection with the incident a short time later, and has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
In a statement, North Yorkshire Police added: "We are requesting the public’s assistance to help establish the full circumstances surrounding the incident.
"In particular, we are appealing for information about who the victim is and level of injury he sustained.
