Woman charged after assault in King's Lynn

A woman has been charged following an incident of violence in King’s Lynn yesterday (Monday 21 October 2024).

Officers were called to Hillington Square at 9.17am to reports of an altercation.

A woman in her 30s was taken to Queen Elizabeth Hospital with what were believed to be serious facial injuries. Further assessment revealed the injuries to be bruising and she has since been discharged.

A different woman in her 30s was arrested and taken to King’s Lynn Police Investigation Centre for questioning.

Kirsty Mills, 36, of Hillington Square, was subsequently charged with two counts of assault and one count of intentional strangulation.

She was remanded in custody to appear at Norwich Magistrate’s Court today.

A man in his 40s, arrested on suspicion of intentional strangulation, has been released without charge.
