Woman charged with murder of Wigan man shot and doused in acid

A woman has been charged with the murder of a Wigan man who was shot and attacked with acid.
Liam Smith's body was discovered on Kilburn Drive, Shevington on the evening of Thursday 24 November after he was subject to a fatal gunshot wound and doused in acid.
37 year-old Rachel Fulstow of Andrew Drive, York, has been charged with murder and perverting the course of justice.
She has since been remanded into custody and is due to appear at Tameside Magistrates on Thursday 23 February 2023.
Liam’s family continue to be supported by specially-trained officers and are aware of the progress being made in this investigation.
38 year-old Michael Hillier of Ecclesall Road, Sheffield, has also been charged with murder and appeared at Manchester Crown Court last month. He's expected to go on trial in July.
Three other men have also been arrested in connection with Liam's death. All were released on bail.
