Darren Pilkington pushed Carly Fairhurst down the stairs in 2006 and was jailed indefinitely - he'd already been in prison for killing a man 6 years earlier.
Now his case is being considered by the parole board.
He can't be moved to an open prison as he previously has absconded from one.
Carly's parents Sheila and Trever believe he's capable of killing again and are appealing to the parole board, urging them to not release him.
