WATCH: The emotional moment when Manchester's Key 103 and Joe Hart teamed up to surprise a poorly boy with the Manchester City experience of a lifetime. Brave 10-year-old listener Finn Middleton led his sporting hero Joe Hart onto the pitch at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday 17th October. Finn from Flixton, who is suffering from a rare cancer called Rabdomcinsarcoma for the second time, had the surprise sprung upon him a few days earlier while taking part in Key 103’s Show in a Car with breakfast show hosts Mike Toolan and Chelsea Norris. Earlier in October, Finn was greeted at the Key 103 studios by the two presenters before being taken in the car with no idea of the destination as part of the Show in a Car series. Joe Hart then phoned into the car to let Finn know that he was on his way for a special day at the Etihad Stadium and he extended a personal invite to the Bournemouth match to meet Joe and escort him onto the pitch ahead of the game. The Etihad Stadium transformed for the morning, changing all the big screens to display Finn’s name, mascot Moonchester greeted the team and Finn had a special shirt hanging next to Joe Hart’s in the changing room. Joe Hart, Manchester City Football Club, said: “It was an honour to welcome Finn as my mascot to the Bournemouth fixture. We’ve heard a lot about his courage over the last few years and his positivity is inspiring for the whole team. The Club works hard to support its fans and we hope that Finn and his family had a day to remember!”
