A bride from Manchester has more than just being a newly-wed to celebrate this afternoon after narrowly escaping breaking her neck at her night time reception.
Ellen Dolan is lucky not to have been hurt in the epic fall at The Macdonald Hotel whilst she and new husband Matthew attempted the lift from Dirty Dancing...
Ellen told Key 103: "We were doing the dance and when it got to the lift - I was stood at one end and Matthew was stood at the other.
"I ran a bit too fast because I was quite drunk, my wedding dress was very, very heavy, and Matthew went for my legs rather than my waist!
"I literally just did a 360 degree turn in the air and landed on my head in the DJ decks!
"Matthew was on top of me because he fell as well - but we got up and carried on dancing straight away.
"I looked around and I couldn't believe I wasn't hurt - but the whole room had gone silent.
"Everyone started cheering as soon as they realised I was okay because they were just so happy that I hadn't broken my neck!"
