Veteran MP For Oldham Dies
Veteran left-wing Labour MP Michael Meacher has died following a short illness.
It’s been confirmed by the party.
The 75-year old has represented Oldham for 45 years, since 1970.
The former minister, who also served for a long period in the shadow cabinet, died yesterday.
