The transport watchdog has called the rail industry's top dogs to a meeting in Manchester this afternoon (Tuesday 19th June 2018).

Rail passengers' journeys have been disrupted by delays and cancellations since a new timetable was introduced one month ago.

The managing directors of Northern and TransPennine as well as the Director of Route Sponsorship from Network Rail are being asked to explain what's being done to restore services as chaos on the network continues.

Transport Focus is calling on the industry to stabilize timetables, restore reliable services, compensate passengers for poor service and pull together to help passengers through the crisis by lifting certain ticket restrictions.
