Train bosses to face questions in Manchester after weeks of chaos
Rail watchdog Transport Focus is holding a special meeting in the city centre today
Rail bosses from Northern Rail, Transpennine Express and Network Rail will face questions from the transport watchdog today.
A special meeting, organised by Transport Focus, will be held in Manchester City Centre.
Members of the public are invited to attend, where Transport Focus will quiz the Managing Directors of Northern, David Brown, and TransPennine Express, Leo Goodwin, plus Network Rail director of route sponsorship Patrick Cawley.
They are set to ask the bosses about frustrating disruptions to passengers since 20th May, when the new timetable was introduced.
Transport Focus have said there have been "unprecedented delays, confusion and cancellations" which have "made life miserable for many Northern and TransPennine Express passengers".
It comes at the start of another day of strikes across services, with members of the RMT Union walking out in the long-running dispute over driver only trains.
