Trafford construction bridge collapses
Emergency services called to the Barton area following the collapse of a bridge on construction site.
Workers in Trafford were given a scare this morning when a suspension bridge being used as part of a construction site collapsed.
The incident happened at around 8.20 this morning as part of a bridge being used to build a connection from Trafford to Barton over the Manchester Ship Canal.
The bridge runs adjacent to the M60 between the Eccles and Trafford Centre exits.
