Tens of thousands of runners take on 10k challenge in glorious sunshine
The Great Manchester Run saw thousands of people line the streets

Nearly 30,000 people crossed the finish line on Sunday's day of sporting action in Manchester.
The Great Manchester Run, Half Marathon, Wheelchair Race, Junior Run and Mini Run saw runners of all ages take on the challenge, on a day of glorious sunshine.
It was a day of high emotions as well as sporting achievement, with a minute's silence at the start of the race to remember the victims of the Manchester Arena bombing, with the first anniversary just days away.
Among those lining up on the start line were two survivors of the attack.
15-year-old Freya Lewis was seriously injured in the bomb blast as was told by doctors that she may never walk again.
She took part in the Junior Run, completing the 2.5km route in less than 20 minutes.
Speaking after the race, Freya said:
"I'm never running again, that's it, I'm done! I'm quite proud, it just doesn't feel real."
Another inspirational athlete was Martin Hibbert, who was the closest person to the bomb blast on May 22nd to survive.
He had told Key 103, ahead of the race, that he was doing it to show defiance in the face of hatred and terrorism.
He lined up with the Wheelchair athletes to compete in the 10k, crossing the finish line an hour later
At the start line for the 10k race, there was just one man the crowds were hoping to see. Sir Mo Farah took on the race, and was the favourite to win going into the competition.
Only 28 minutes and 27 seconds later and he had crossed the finish line, beating second place Moses Kipsiro by just one second.
He was greeted on the line by his family and friends, hugging his wife and children before saying:
"It's only my first win here but the crowd were amazing. I knew from early on that it was going to be hard work. Moses was never going to give it to me easily."
In total, around 30,000 people took on the challenge, over a day of scorching temperatures, to claim their medals at the finish line on Deansgate.
