Stretford man robbed at gunpoint
Victim left with head injury following theft.
Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was robbed at gunpoint in the early hours of Sunday by a gang of youths.
The victim was walking down Talbot Road at around 2.30 am when 12 boys aged around 15 to 18, followed and confronted him.
Whilst riffling through the victim’s rucksack, one attacker threatened the man with a knife, with two others pointing guns at him.
The young man’s phone and bank card was stolen.
The victim was suffered a head injury and needed treatment at hospital. He is now recovering at home.
The group of attackers have been described as follows:
Offender 1: White, 6ft tall, broad shoulders, wears a big dark blue hooded coat and black tracksuit.
Offender 2: Black, 6ft 2-3 inches tall, slim build, wears a hooded shiny black bomber jacket.
Offender 3: White, 5ft 5 inches tall, blue eyes, white blonde hair, about 15 years old.
Offender 4: White, about 5ft 10 inches tall, wears a black coat.
Detective Constable Chris Aunins of GMP’s Trafford Borough said: “An innocent man was brutally attacked on his way home from work, by a group who thought nothing of threatening him with weapons.”
