Convicted murderer Stuart Horner has been found guilty of criminal damage and affray over a rooftop protest at Strangeways.
During his trial at Manchester Crown Court Horner told the court he climbed onto the prison roof in September 2015 - to raise awareness of government cuts and how bad the conditions were.
He spent two and a half days on the rooftop eventually coming down when he was given a pizza and a can of coke.
A jury decided Horner’s actions were not lawful he's already serving life for murder but has now been given nine years for the damage - and a year for affray to run alongside his sentence.
