Small plane crashes into trees at Barton Airport

Emergency services rushed to the scene on Liverpool Road in Eccles, Salford just before one o'clock this afternoon.
Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Services has told us that the one seater aircraft crashed in to trees.
The pilot had to be cut out of the plane and has been taken to hospital.
It is not yet known how severe his injuries are.
