Sharm El Sheikh - Wigan Families Holiday Heartache
Three couples from Wigan have been forced to cancel their holiday to Sharm El Sheikh after flights to and from the destination were cancelled following fears a Russian plane that came down on Saturday had a bomb on board.
One of the group, Wendy Sweeney has now had to cancel three holidays in the past few years after narrowly avoiding disastrous incidents.
Wendy was had to cancel one holiday due to the Icelandic volcanic ash cloud, she was also due to fly to Tunisia but had to cancel that trip following a gun attack at the resort where she would have been staying.
The six are now hoping to rearrange their holiday for another destination, although have been told they may have to split up as group- something they’re hoping won’t happen.
