Police release e-fit of man suspected of Reddish child abduction

Police have released an e-fit of a man who is suspected of attempting to abduct a child in Reddish.

Between 3pm and 4pm on Thursday, May 25th a 14-year-old girl was walking along Dumbarton Road when she noticed a white van following her.

The girl has stopped to cross the road and a man has got out of the van and grabbed her by shoulder. He told her to come with him but the girl has kicked the man and ran off.

Police have now released an e-fit of the suspect in a bid to identify him.

Detective Constable Matt Tarr, for GMP Stockport borough, said: "I would urge anyone who recognises the man pictured to call police immediately."

"I would like to praise the girl for her courage during this incident and I want to stress the importance of not speaking to strangers."
