Police Officers Honoured
The two Greater Manchester Police officers murdered by Dale Cregan have been given a top National award in their memory.
PC Fiona Bone and PC Nicola Hughes who were killed in a gun and grenade attack in Tameside in September 2011 have received the Country's first Award dedicated to Women in Policing.
The pair were honoured at the Police Federation Conference in Bournemouth this week on what mark 100 years of women in Policing.
Nicola's dad Bryn and Fiona's dad Paul accepted the awards in honour of their daughters.
In July the second annual ball will take place for the charity set up in memory of PC Nicola Hughes.
The Foundation raises money to help children and young people affected by the loss of loved ones to crime.
