Police appeal for dash-cam footage after a man was seriously injured in a collision in Wythenshawe.

Around 5.20am on Wednesday 8 August police were called to Simonsway at the junction of Haslington Road, to reports that a car had collided with a tree.

On attendance, officers discovered the man in his 20s – who was travelling in a grey Fiat 500 Sport in the direction of Styal Road, prior to the collision – had serious injuries, and was taken by Ambulance to hospital where he remains in a life-threatening condition.

The road was closed for three hours whilst the man was treated and the scar was recovered.

Officers are appealing to those with dashcam footage or information to come forward.

Police Sergeant Jon McColl of GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “My thoughts are with the man as he fights for his life and his family at this awful time.

“We have launched an investigation and we are hoping that anyone who may have witnessed the collision or have any dash-cam footage will get in touch.

“We are also keen to hear from anyone who may have seen the grey Fiat 500 prior to the collision
