Police are appealing for information after men wielding machetes and a taser robbed a man in Bury.

Three masked men, one wearing a pig mask, approached the victim’s house and forced their way in through the back door of a house on Sixth Avenue at around 10pm on Wednesday (4th October).

Once inside, they threatened the 31-year-old victim with the weapons and demanded money.

They then kicked the victim repeatedly in the face, before leaving the house.

The man was taken to hospital for treatment and has since been released.

Detective Constable Gordon Milne of GMP’s Bury Borough, said: “These men forced their way into the victim’s home, attacking him and damaging his sense of security.

“I can only imagine how terrified he must have been to be met with these three masked men who forced their way into his home, and threatened him with weapons.

“I’m asking for anyone who heard a disturbance in the area at the time, or who saw someone wearing a pig mask, to please come forward and help with our investigation.”
