Piccadilly Gardens will be a focal point all of Manchester can be proud of according to council leaders who unveiled the new-look fountains today.70,000 litres of water can now be jetted out of the fountains, which feature multi-coloured LED lights, aimed at brightening up the gardens. Councillor Pat Karney:
Work is still being done on the gardens as new turf is laid down and the statues surrounding the area are given a clean-up.
Piccadilly Gardens will be reopened to the public in Spring this year and it’s hope the fountains will prove a major attraction for visitors to the city centre.
