Manchester Unites for Paris
Hundreds gather to show solidarity with the people of Paris.
Hundreds of people gathered in Piccadilly Gardens last night to hold a candlelit vigil for the victims of the Paris terror attacks.

The event was organised by Mohammed Shafiq from the Rochdale based Ramadhan Foundation. He said, "The attacks in Paris are a reminder of the dangerous times we live in and out thoughts and prayers are with the people of Paris. Tonight, Manchester United together against terrorism and we showed our solidarity for Paris and victims of terrorism around the world."

Manchester also marked a minutes silence in memory of the victims who lost their lives during the Paris attacks.
Manchester Town Hall will also continue to be lit in the French Tricolore of red, white and blue for the three days of national mourning that was declared in France over the weekend.

A book of condolence has been set up in the foyer of the Town Hall and will be available for anyone to sign between 9 am and 8:30 pm every day.
