Manchester’s Freshers Week Begins
Thousands of new students will descend on the city this week for the annual Freshers Week celebrations.
Thousands of new students are expected to descend onto the city centre this week for the annual Freshers Week.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Over 80,000 new arrivals start university life in Manchester today, with many eager to explore the city and enjoy the famous nightlife.
To coincide with this, police have launched the Manchester Student Safety Campaign to step up patrols around universities as well as offer advice to freshers.
The new scheme is designed to help new students in particular from falling victim to crime.
