Manchester referee starts petition for officials to be given body cams
Ryan Hampson says more needs to be done to protect referees.
A young referee from Manchester's launched a petition for officials to wear body cameras in a bid to reduce the number of attacks.
Ryan Hampson - who himself as been the victim of an attack earlier this year - wants to get enough signatures to get the idea debated in parliament.
It’s hoped that by gaining the required 100,000 signatures a change can be brought in allowing officials to carry body cams.
