Manchester man arrested for attempted murder of toddler
Police were called to an incident in Blackpool yesterday
A 28 year old man from Manchester is in custody after police were called to reports of an assault in Blackpool.
On arrival on Brun Grove, officers found a small child with facial and neck injuries. The boy was taken to hospital.
Later police arrested a 28 year old man on suspicion of attempted murder and he remains in custody
It's understood the toddler has been discharged from hospital and is now home.
In a statement Lancashire police told us:
"We were called around 8.15am yesterday (Wednesday, December 7) to a report of an assault at an address in Brun Grove, Blackpool.
Officers attended an address with a toddler found with facial and neck injuries.
He was taken to hospital for treatment. He has since been discharged and is back home with his family.
A 28-year-old man from Manchester was later arrested on suspicion of attempted murder and is in custody."
Nobody has been charged and the investigation continues.
