Man suffers head injuries in Manchester mugging
A man was hit over the head as he walked through Manchester City Centre
A man's in a serious condition after being attacked and mugged in Manchester city centre. At 1.30am on Saturday 20 August 2016, a 47-year-old man was on Market Street outside TX Maxx when he attacked from behind. The victim suffered a blow to the head and was taken to hospital for treatment. The offenders took then took the man’s mobile phone and wallet and left the scene. Police are appealing for information and witnesses. Detective Constable Sean Downey said: “This is a busy street and there would’ve been a lot of people around at the time.
