Man left with "nasty" nose injury after pub attack in Bury

A man’s been left with a “nasty” injury to his nose, after he was attacked as he walked through a crowded pub in Bury.

At around 10.45pm on Saturday 21st November 2015, a 47-year-old man was making his way through the bar area of Molloy’s on Silver Street towards the toilet when he was punched a number of times by a man.

The offender was restrained by a number of customers and was eventually ejected by door staff.

Now Police have issued the picture of a man they would like to speak to in connection with the incident.

Detective Constable Gordon Milne said:

“It seems Mr Baker was attacked because someone took offence at him trying to squeeze by people in a very busy pub.

The attack left with the victim with a nasty injury to his nose and he is just about recovering from the ordeal.

“We believe there would have been a number of people inside the pub who witnessed the assault and we are keen to hear from you.

I would also ask anyone who may recognise the man in the image to contact us.”
