A man's been charged with assault after a five-day-old baby was allegedly punched in a supermarket in Manchester.

A man's been charged with assault after a five-day-old baby was allegedly punched in a supermarket in Manchester.

It's said to have happened in Tesco on Altrincham Road in Baguley on Monday night.

The new born girl was taken to hospital as a precaution but has since been discharged.

63-year-old David Hardy has been bailed until he appears in court next month.
