A house full of cannabis plants raided in Tameside.
Police found plants in nearly every room
Police say they've seized a sophisticated cannabis farm after they raided a house in Ashton.
Officers smashed their way into the three-bedroomed property on Kings Road and discovered 259 plants being grown in the dinning room, all three bedrooms and attic.
They also found the electricity meter had been bypassed.
Neighbourhood beat Officer PC Naylor said “This find has come about as a result of infomation received from the local community and further investigation by myself and the Ashton team.
As well as being illegal to cultivate cannabis, there is also the danger posed to neighbouring properties and the occupants themselves, due to the high heat emited and the tampering with the electricity meter.
I would encourage people to report any suspicions of a cannabis farm to your local police or anonymously via crimestoppers at 0800 555 111
