Girl grabbed in Blackley

An investigation's underway after a girl was grabbed in Blackley in broad daylight.

It happened on Acre Top Road at about 10:50am on Wednesday 10th January 2018.

Inspector Shan Nasim, from GMP’s City of Manchester team, said:

“We understand that this incident has caused a lot of concern in the community.

“We treat all reports of this nature extremely seriously and have had an overwhelming response from residents.

“Whilst our enquiries continue, anyone who is concerned can speak to local officers who will try and help in any way they can.

“If you ever see anything suspicious please don’t hesitate to report it police.”

A 34-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of assault and is still in custody.
