Firefighters at scene of Salford blaze

Firefighters are at the scene of a blaze in Salford this evening (Tuesday 14th August 2018).

Greater Manchester Fire and Rescue Service says six crews were called to the 'large recycling plant' on Frederick Road at about 17:30.

People who live nearby are being asked to keep their windows and doors shut tonight.

A number of roads have been closed:

Broad Street and Frederick Road Junction

Frederick Road and Lower Broughton Road

Lower Broughton Road and Cromwell Road

Cromwell Road and Lissadel Stree
