A mum from our region whose daughter suffers from type one diabetes has backed calls for more youngsters to be given annual checks.

A report by the Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health says just a quarter of children with diabetes are getting the correct annual assesments.

Helen Clayton from Cheshire whose daughter Amber pictured meeting the Queen has diabetes says there's a lot of factors that need monitoring with young sufferers.
