Cancer Treatment Breakthrough
Manchester research could lessen chemotherapy side effects.
Cancer patients being treated with chemotherapy could see its side effects reduced thanks to new research by the University of Manchester.
Using a new drug combination it's hoped the discovery will boost chances of survival when it comes to fighting the disease.
The combination means scientists have also been able to soften up cancer cells making treating them with chemo far more effective.
It may be four more years of development before the drug is ready to be used by patients.
