Body Found In Hattersley

A police investigation’s underway following the discovery of a man’s body in Hattersley.

Shortly after 8.05pm on Sunday 18 October 2015, police were called to Chain Bar Lane following a report that a man’s body had been found in a house. Officers attended the property and found the body of a 50-year-old man. Enquiries are being conducted into the circumstances surrounding this man’s death, which is now being treated as suspicious. Detective Inspector Richard Ennis from GMP’s Tameside division said: “We are in the early stages of this investigation and are carrying out numerous enquiries to establish what exactly has taken place. “As part of our enquiries, we are trying to establish the man’s movements in the days leading up to the discovery of his body.
