Astronaut captures sunny snap of Scotland

A stunning photo of Scotland has been tweeted from the International Space Station.

NASA astronaut Jeff Williams shared his picture on Tuesday as the the country was enjoying temperature highs of 27C.

He tweeted: "We had a great view of Scotland today ... very rare not to be covered with clouds."

The image, which has been retweeted over 5000 times, was taken from the space station 220 miles above the earth.
