11-year-old girl in a critical condition after collision in Bolton

Police say they were called to Green Lane at around 8:20pm on Monday (24th September)

Police are appealing for witnesses after an 11-year-old girl was critically injured in a collision in Bolton.

At around 8:20am yesterday, Monday 24 September 2018, the girl was crossing Green Lane when she was involved in a collision with a Honda Jazz.

The girl suffered serious injuries and was taken to hospital where she remains in a life threatening condition.

Officers from GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit are now investigating the circumstances surrounding the collision.

Police Constable Neil Pennington, of GMP’s Serious Collision Investigation Unit, said: “This collision left an 11-year-old girl seriously injured and we are keen to speak to anyone who may have information that can assist us to determine the full circumstances surrounding the incident.

“Given the time of day this happened, we believe there will be a number of potential witnesses who may hold key information or have dash cam footage that can assist our enquiries.
