Local band Blossoms are joining us at the amazing Key 103 Christmas Live, so to celebrate we have found 11 things you might not know about the band.

1. Their breakthrough single was called ‘Charlemagne’.

2. They are from Stockport, Greater Manchester.

3. They were formed in 2013.

4. They are made up of five members, Tom Ogden (lead vocals), Charlie Salt (bass), Josh Dewhurst (lead guitar), Joe Donovan (drums) and Myles Kellock (keyboard).

5. Lead singer Tom Ogdon started writing songs at the age of 15.

6. All five members were born at the same hospital and without knowing lived within two kilometres of each other whilst growing up.

7. The band played their first gig at the Night and Day Café in Manchester, with tickets selling for £3.

8. In 2014, all five members quit their jobs to focus on the band full time.

9. Their first album ‘Blossoms’ was released on August 6th 2016 and went to number one in the UK album charts.

10. They supported The Courteeners at their Heaton Park show.

11. They are playing at Key 103 Christmas Live on Friday 9th December 2016.
