The Simplyhealth Great Manchester Run returns on Sunday 20th May 2018, with the 10k, half marathon, Junior and Mini events all staged on the same day.

Not only will Sir Mo Farah be leading the elite field in the 10k, but there are 35,000 others running for causes close to their heart, raising millions for charities across the world. Albert Square will be transformed into a charity village so you can meet up with your fellow fundraisers once you cross the finish line.

If you’re looking for a fresh challenge, then why not try your hand at the half marathon, which was introduced in 2017. Not only will you pass both of Manchester’s football grounds, but it’s your only opportunity to run along the mighty Mancunian Way, which will be closed to cars for one day!

Both the 10k and half marathon feature entertainment from start to finish, with bands-on-the-run playing everything from Oasis to Rihanna. Be prepared for them to give you a shout-out as you run past, and they might even run alongside you, if they can keep up!

The Simplyhealth Junior & Mini Great Manchester Run takes place on the same day as the adult events, so young runners and budding athletes can experience the buzz, and even share the same start line as their mums and dads. Perfect training for the future.

Be your greatest in 2018 and join us at the Simplyhealth Great Manchester Run
