Manchester Pride Dance Arena Line-Up
Biggest ever dance music line-up for the Big Weekend
Manchester Pride has added some of the best dance music acts in the country to its line-up for the Dance Arena at The Big Weekend which takes place Friday 25th to Monday 28th August.
Manchester will see DJ sets from internationally renowned Faithless, Underground DJ Ben Pearce (pictured) and electronic duo Simian Mobile Disco.
The warehouse party style arena at the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) festival has grown in stature over the past three years and the unique car park stage has put the event on the dance music map with world-class acts.
Faithless who are best known for their dance songs including club classics Insomnia, God Is A DJ and Mass Destruction is a band made up by Maxi Jazz, Rollo and Sister Bliss. Sister Bliss will be performing a DJ set for Manchester Pride. The band has recorded six studio albums, with total sales exceeding 15 million records worldwide.
Simian Mobile Disco, fronted by James Ford and Jas Shaw, is one of the UK's finest electronic duos plus they are individually as esteemed producers for other acts. The pair does not use laptops or racks of hardware, just one synth and one sequencer each, which they took into the Joshua Tree national park in California and recorded the album in front of an audience.
