Met Officer charged with murder - bailed

A Met Police officer who is charged with murder following the fatal shooting of a man in south London has appeared in court and been bailed.

24 year old Chris Kaba died in September 2022 after a single bullet went through the windscreen of the car he was driving in Streatham.

Today the unnamed officer who is only known as NX121 attended the Old Bailey, where they were told a plea and trial preparation hearing was listed for December 1st, with a possible trial date of September 2024.

Another hearing will take place next week to discuss the anonymity order.

Today members of Chris Kaba's family became emotional in court, with one woman leaving the courtroom in tears as the case was outlined.
