Man who rammed police cars and attacked officers jailed
He also set his dog on them
A man's been jailed after attacking three police officers in Enfield.
Lewis Lloyd of Weir Hall Road in Tottenham, had to be tasered after ramming two patrol cars, whilst trying to get away in a vehicle, which had been stolen at knifepoint at the end of 2020.
His pitbull type dog was also tasered after Lloyd set it onto officers whilst he stripped to his waist and tried to leave the scene.
Before the 27 year old was arrested in January, he attempted to steal another car by forcing his way into the vehicle and sitting on the driver, after he failed to pull him out of the car.
He was sentenced to three years and eight months for a total of 12 offences, which included three counts of assault by beating an emergency worker, assault with intent to commit robbery; handling stolen goods; dangerous driving.
PC Katie Dennell, from the Met’s Operation Venice team, said:
“The actions of this man were both dangerous to himself and also others around him. It was clear he would do anything to avoid arrest. He had total disregard for the safety of others including both police and members of the public.”
