More than 1,000 staff made redundant at collapsed Knaresborough firm
Ilke Homes entered administration in June
Administrators have confirmed more than 1,000 job losses at a collapsed housebuilding firm near Knaresborough.
Ilke Homes entered administration at the end of June, blaming cost pressures bought by inflation and a lack of land supply.
Today, administrators Alix Partners said: "We can confirm that approximately 1,058 (1,039 Homes: 19 Land) employees have regrettably been made redundant on appointment and another one redundancy in Homes since appointment.
"The administrators have appointed a specialist agent to support former employees in understanding their statutory entitlements and making claims to the Redundancy Payments Service.
"The administrators are now working with a small number of retained employees to realise the assets of the business on behalf of creditors and are soliciting expressions of interest for any or all of those assets."
All operations at the Ilke Homes factory in Flaxby have ceased, and the site has been closed.
