Full details have been released of the Taylor Swift inspired art trail that'll take over Liverpool next month.

11 art installations will be on show to welcome the tens of thousands of Swifties who'll be watching Taylor take to the stage at Anfield for three sold-out shows.

Each piece is inspired by a different Taylor Swift era - they are:

  • A seven foot high butterfly inspired by Taylor Swift's debut album
  • A colourful mural inspired by the 'Fearless' era
  • Artwork inspired by the 'Speak Now' era
  • Giant red lips forming the backdrop of a Taylor-themed red room, inspired by the 'RED' era
  • Hand-crafted seagulls inspired by the 1989 (Taylor's Version) album aesthetic
  • A regal throne surrounded by snakes and skulls inspired by the 'Reputation' era
  • Hearts, rainbows and pink flamingos inspired by the 'Lover' era
  • A moss-covered grand piano inspired by the 'folklore' era
  • A floral swing bench inspired by the 'evermore' era
  • A witching hour inspired by the 'Midnights' era
  • A giant black and white mural made up of hidden nods to the 'Tortured Poets Department' era

The trail will run from Saturday 8 June to Sunday 16 June.

Liverpool City Council's Director for Culture, Claire McColgan, said:

"The Taylor Town Trail is going to put Swifties in pure pop heaven! And even if you haven’t got a ticket to one of the concerts, it’s just going to be an unforgettable experience.

"We scousify and then let it fly!

"As everyone saw with Eurovision last year, Liverpool knows how to embrace an event and transform it into something else entirely. We scousify and then let it fly!

"I’d really like to thank all of the artists and Make CIC for their unbelievable creativity and all the businesses who’ve got on board to make this happen. And we want anyone who is going that extra mile to let us know, so we can showcase that too and add it to this wrap-around experience.

"This is all about using that Team Liverpool approach which works so well and has a tangible impact when it comes to boosting the local economy and supporting local businesses. Even though Taylor may only be in town for a matter of days, we hope the sector feels the impact for months to come."

Make CIC's co-founder, Kirsten Little, said:

"We're excited to announce the full line-up of installations and the talented artists collaborating with Make on the artworks.

"This project highlights the incredible artistic talent within Liverpool and emphasises our commitment to supporting local makers. By integrating their work into these high-profile events, we are not only enhancing the visibility of these artists but also bolstering our local economy and reaffirming Liverpool's status as a creative and innovative city.

"These installations offer an inclusive and immersive experience, inviting fans, locals, and visitors alike to engage deeply with Liverpool's vibrant art scene. This initiative not only celebrates our artistic community but also strengthens our creative ecosystem, making a meaningful impact on our independent venues across the city region.

"Our craft workshops are a great chance for fans to get creative too. These hands-on experiences let everyone contribute, make something to take along to the concert or take home and cherish, and feel more connected to the local culture."

There'll also be a series of ticketed craft workshops - called Liverpool Loves Taylor (Craft Version) - taking place at Metquarter Liverpool.

People will be able get creative with origami which will eventually form part of one of the installations, transform t-shirts in a session called Swif-tee Transformation, upcycle denim, make collages and decorate cupcakes - all inspired by Taylor Swift.

The University of Liverpool is hosting a free 'Tay Day' on 12 June, described as 'a unique symposium for academics, students and fans to unpack the cultural phenomenon that is Taylor Swift'.

A 'Liverpool Loves Taylor' information stand will be in operation at Liverpool Lime Street station between 13 and 15 June between 9am and 6pm and a banner has ben installed on the facade of St George's Hall.
