Warning over teenagers swimming in dangerous waters across Northern Lincolnshire
Emergency services are highlighting the issues
There are fears over the number of teenagers swimming in dangerous waters across Northern Lincolnshire.
A warning's gone out as part of a week of action in the region.
It comes after Humberside Police says it's again received reports of teenagers taking to the water in the 7 lakes caravan park in Crowle.
We've been speaking to Dean who's a park ranger there.
He's been working with local emergency services and the nearby school to try and deter people from entering the water.
He told us: "It's just mainly weekends or hot weather - you get the young kids come down and think they can just jump in."
The next minute you could be gone
"It gets deeper and deeper and the majority of this is underneath - it's all weedy."
"It's only a matter of time - as soon as you jump in you get cold water shock and that's imminent."
"That affects how you react - especially if you get weeds round your feet then you start to panic."
"The next minute you could be gone."
"There's loads of signs - we've been advised to put even more up but where we are there's three quite visible."
"It's mainly to deter people from swimming."
"We get gatherings on the grass here - they all leave a mess."
"It's is a water sports lake - kayaking - canoeing - sailing and jet skis during the day - but for caravan owners only."
