If you do head into the water -we always say float to live
"The main thing to remember is to swim between the red and yellow flags."
"If you see those - they're very visible on the beach."
"That's just our designated life guard zone - where they'll always be someone there watching the water - able to help you."
"If you do get into any trouble or even if you're just going for a paddle they'll be able to help and you'll be able to keep safe."
"If you do head into the water -we always say float to live."
We have bracelets for young children
"If you do find yourself in difficulty make sure you try and relax as much as you can."
"You want to lay on your back with your face out the water looking up at the sky."
"Ears in the water - spread out like a starfish and if you are on one of our life guarded beaches they'll be someone there to spot you and come and help."
"If you do have young children - we have Sandy starfish bracelets."
"You can head to one of our white life guard huts where you can put your number on this bracelet so if you're child does wander off they'll be able to find their way back to the hut and you."
