A homelessness housing association working across Lincolnshire and Newark says the increase in employer's national insurance contributions means they'll struggle to survive.

Framework are calling on the government to make the third sector exempt from the increase.

We've been speaking to Andrew Redfern, Chief Executive of Framework in the region.

He told us: "I do think we should be exempt from this increase because there's simply no source of income that charities can go to to find the difference."

There's no doubt that we're going to see cuts in services

"Public sector organisations are being protected from this - they're having the cost covered - we're not having the cost covered."

"Things will get worse and all that will do is add further pressure and further costs to mainstream public services."

"There's no doubt that we're going to see cuts and that will have an impact on public services."

"We've been working hard to balance our budget for next year - we operate with very tight margins but this blew a hole in the whole thing and put us back to square one."

The Government says it's vital they raise extra cash because of the state of public finances and they've had to take difficult decisions.
